Meet the Celebrant

One of my absolute favourite “past time” things to do as a musician over the years was to sit and listen to celebrants telling the “love stories” of all the couples that I would sing for.

I would find myself sitting there with my guitar in my hand, with this dorky smile on my face as if I was in fact an actual guest and listening to the ceremonies as if I had known them for years (that’s the sign of a good celebrant having that affect on me).

I then thought, why can’t I do that too?! With many years performing in front of crowds, of up to 20,000 people, performing on live t.v and hosting many many trivia nights, I knew that talking in front of a bunch of people was my next calling. I love people and most of all, I love love!

I moved to the Sunshine Coast just before the Covid lock down began (2019). During that time, I studied to be a celebrant whilst also trying to juggle the dreaded “home schooling” period for three kids!

Doing my celebrant course was my escape and the more I got stuck into it the more excited I became about this becoming a real thing, well once life got back to some kind of normal.

The path so far has been amazing, meeting amazing couples, telling incredible stories. I truly do feel it is a huge privilege to be trusted to take on the role of your celebrant for your wedding ceremony.

Meet the Musician

I have 20 years of experience as a musician from singing in big bands to being a one woman show, which is what you can find me doing most weekends.

One of my most memorable times during my career was going to Sydney for “Australian Idol” back then (I’m talking 2008) it was a big deal, but growing up in the music industry you soon learn that half your friends have also been there.

Now I get all my joy from singing those special moment songs, whether it be singing you down the aisle, performing your first dance for you as a newly married couple, or getting the whole dance floor full of guests doing the nut bush!

Music is such a beautiful thing, it makes me feel amazing, I like to think that resonates with everyone around me.
